The organism had stopped writing, and now it says when it does

The organism had stopped writing, and nothing here said so. Since the end of May, the model this site used for its own words was retired by the company that runs it. From that day every place the organism writes for itself failed quietly and fell back to a plainer, prewritten version: the daily letter, the plain-English explanations of its predictions, the reflections on what it read, and its choice of which question to open next. Nothing broke that you could see, which is exactly the problem. The public usage ledger did record every one of those failures, but it counted calls by kind and by result separately, and neither count on its own could show that four kinds had failed every single time. That has been put right: those four now use the version of the same model that remains available, and the Status page names any part of the organism whose every recent attempt failed, so the next silence is visible the day it starts. The drawings that replaced emoji, described in the last release note, only reach this site with this release. The note said they had shipped before they had. They are here now. There is now a machine-readable description of every public address on the site, at /openapi.json. It is generated from the same table that decides what the site serves, on every request, so it cannot drift away from the site the way a hand-written description would. Operator-only addresses are deliberately left out of it. A safety change you should never notice: if the private key that signs your sign-in were ever missing from the live site, the site now refuses to accept sign-ins made with the public fallback key instead of quietly trusting them. The live site has always had its key, so nothing changes for anyone today. Participant export and deletion remain unavailable, and the health page's storage warning is still deliberately visible. Neither changed here.

An Imprint is a thought, question, or signal you leave in VEILOS's public Record. VEILOS keeps exact Imprint bodies in a bounded 500-row Record window. Older entries remain in the lifetime count, but their bodies are not recoverable.
